With the growing popularity of
the ‘Semi Trad’ stern obviously came a need
for a cover to keep the elements off the deck boards,
seat tops and water out of the engine bay. Trying to
make a flat cover shed water without adding a lot of
expensive framework was sorted with a sprung Ash batten
or two.
The big advantage of a Semi Trad stern is that it enables
the crew to sit out with the helm while cruising, until
the rain starts. Enter the Raised Semi Trad cover. A
folding Pram style cover with plenty of windows, that
is easily
dropped. This makes cruising in all weathers possible
without the helm ending up as ‘Norman no mates’.
